This research focuses on how British explorers and diplomats came to Kurdistan in the first half of the nineteenth century and presents the most important motives that played a role in writing their travelogues and memoirs. The research consists of an introduction, an introduction and six discussions. The first discussion concerns strategic motivation. The first discussion is about strategic motivation. The second discussion is devoted to the presentation of political motivation. The third discussion is devoted to the presentation of economic motivation. The fourth discussion is devoted to presenting the scientific motivation. The fifth chapter is devoted to religious motivation. The sixth discussion deals with espionage motives as one of the most important motives in the process of their arrival in Kurdistan. The growing activity of British explorers and diplomats to Kurdistan and writing their travelogues and memoirs, especially in the first half of the nineteenth century, led a large number of European explorers to start their journeys to the eastern regions, especially to Kurdistan. It was also seen as one of the bridges between East and West. Their hidden motives and objectives were manifested in various aspects, through which they were able to serve the British policy and strategy in Kurdistan, through which Britain made efforts to strengthen its position in the region on a large scale. They conducted several special envoys to research and map in order to carry out activities and attract Kurds to their interests. In this regard, they submitted several academic studies on the social, economic, political and topographical conditions of the region in the form of reports.
